I feel this comment does not take into account the real reason many countries take a day off to remember the Armistice in 1918. It would have been nice for you, and perhaps your readers, to mention that as well.
Thank you for your comment. Until I moved to Paris I didn't pay attention to the real importance of this day. I will make a point for the future to really remember it for the true purpose.
